See the capital city of the Philippines and the ” The Eight Wonders Of  The World ” The more than 2000 year old rice terraces from Banaue. Relax on beautiful white beaches from of Mindoro and experience all forms of water sports, diving, swimming, snorkeling.


 

   
   

DAY 1. Departure flight to Manila.

   
   
   

DAY 2. We pick you up from the airport of Ninoy Aquino in Manila  (or previous travel module). We go to the never sleeping City of Manila. Nobody really knows how many people live here. The estimated population is between 15 to 22 million people. You find many attractions in this city. We make by Calesa (horse-drawn carriage) a city tour and see the Manila Cathedral and buildings out of the Spanish and American colonial period. We visit the central located at Rizal Park with its botanical gardens and the one that is impressive is the Old Spanish fort rich Intramuros, the prison and the wall where the national hero Dr. Rizal who was executed by the Spanish colonial occupiers in 1897.  We visit the National Museum and see a part of the history of the Philippines. Also, visit to Manila Bay and hopefully we can watch a spectacular sunset. We experience the nightlife of this never sleeping city with its various restaurants, theatres, discos and bars. Manila has an exciting nightlife.

   
   
   

DAY 3. Two hours drive to South of Manila lies the Lake Taal with its majestic second crater Taal. Join the adventure and discover Lake Taal with its mysteries, secrets, myths, legends and paranormal activities. In the middle of the Lake Taal lies the island with the Taal Volcano. This volcano is still active and in many places you can see the steam coming out of the earth. By banca we sail to the island with the volcano. We climb on the back of a horse, and ride in a relaxed tempo to the top of the volcano. From here you have a beautiful view on the still active crater of the volcano. By boat we make a trip to see the fish ponds around the island. From the Taal Volcano we drive back to Manila. We take our dinner in the restaurant of the famous country and western singer, Kenny Rogers. We stay for an overnight in the Garden Plaza Hotel.

   
   
   

DAY 4. We  visit  one  of  the colorful markets and you will be surprised by the cheap prices of different articles. In the afternoon we visit one of the luxury air-conditioned shopping malls. It is even possible to ice skate here. There are many beautiful stores that offers luxury goods for reasonable prices. Manila, is a city where the rich and the poor live next to each other. But one thing that you will always remember is the friendly, and always smiling children of Manila. In the evening we go to Zamboanga Restaurant, we have our dinner there and see a nice culture show. Manila has an exciting nightlife. Than we stay in Garden Plaza Hotel.

   
   
   

DAY 5-6. After breakfast we drive to Angeles City. Angeles City had until 1991 the biggest American airbase outside the U.S.A. The Clark- Airbase has a very long airstrip. On this airstrip even the Space Shuttle can land. During Vietnam-war up to 1,200 flights a day could leave for Vietnam. The base is now a big Duty Free Zone, where it is very attractive for shopping. Also Apo, the big local market, is very nice to visit. Angeles City, with its many restaurants, casinos, karaoke and gogo bars has a very lively night life. We stay for an overnight in the Marlim Mansions Hotel.

   
   
   

DAY 7. Early in the morning we leave Angeles City (or the end point of a previous travel module). We drive through the rice fields and the hill- and mountain landscapes of the provinces of Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya and Ifugao. In the afternoon we arrive in Banaue. We visit the viewpoint and look over the more than 2000 year old rice terraces. We stay in the Banaue Hotel.

   
       
   

DAY 8. We visit the rice terraces. These rice terraces are called “The Eight Wonders of the World”, and also called “The Stairway To Heaven”. The more than 2,000 years old rice terraces are placed on the world heritage list of Unesco. You have the opportunity to see, and you can buy the handmade souvenirs which are made by the mountain tribes. The Ifugao were once the feared head hunters who built these rice terraces with the aid of very few tools 2,000 years ago.  After lunch we make a rough two-hour ride through the Cordillera Mountains to Bontoc In  the afternoon we  make a  visit to the  small and drop by to the interesting Bontoc museum. This museum was established  by a  Belgian nun.  Here  you can  see the culture and  daily  tools of the Toradja- en Dajak-tribes.  These  tribes  come  originally from  Indonesia. We stay  for an overnight in the Ridge Brooke Hotel or Archog Hotel.

   
   
   

DAY 9-10. We go to Malicong. We have a nice walk over the rice terraces then visit a village.  We drive a rough road of Sagada in which town measures at a heigt of 1,480 meters. We visit the Weaving and Souvenirs store. Here you can see how the traditional materials are woven by hand. We visit the caves of Sagada.  Over centuries the dead have been buried here often in sitting position.  We see thousands of open coffins a chilling experience. Of course we do not collect some bones as a respect for the dead people. On other places we see the coffins hanging on the mountain walls. And this privilege is only given to reach peoples. If the weather is good, then we make a 20 minutes walk through the caves to the Bokong Waterfalls. We stay overnight in the Ridge Brooke Hotel or Archog Hotel.

   
   
   

DAY 11. We drive the adventurous Van Halsema Mountain Highway passing the breathtaking landscape and see more rice terraces on our way to Baguio. This so-called “highway” wherein it is more a mountain path which measurefor about 130 kilometers long. The long but very adventurous drive brings us straight through the beautiful Cordillera-mountains. You enjoy the many breathtaking views.  We drive around in the city and visit the famous Burnham Park. Here we visit to the orchid garden. We also bring a visit to a Tam-Awan village dorp. This village with its Ifugao houses show you the culture of the tribes in the Cordillera Mountains. Baguio, the Summer City of the Philippines is worth while a visit with its pine covered hills and enjoy the city marked overflowing with handcrafts fresh vegetables and strawberries from the surrounding mountains. We visit many beautiful spots like Burnham Park and an Ifugao village. We stay  overnight in the Supreme Hotel.

   
   
   

DAY 12. Via the province Benguet, Tarlac and Pampanga we go back to Angeles City, we arrive at the lunch time in Angeles. After the lunch we bring you to an Aeta Village. The Ita was the first inhabitant in  the Philippines. who live in scattered, isolated mountainous parts of the Mount Pinatubo, After the eruption of Mount Pinatubo in 1991 the Ita's life enviromment hat disappeared. We visit a luxury air- conditioned shopping mall. In the evening we have our dinner and enjoy some of the live music. We spend some hours in the sparkling nightlife of Angeles. we stay for an overnight in the Marlim Mansions Hotel.

   
   
   

DAY 13. We drive to Batangas and take the ferry to the island Mindoro and then stay in Puerto Galera in the Mabuhay Resort on the Small Laguna Beach.  Our hotel is directly located on the beach. There is a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. The restaurant serves every night a barbeque as well as delightful fishes and meat dishes. The swimming pool is surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden.    

   
   
   

DAY 14. We stay in the Mabuhay Resort. We have the possibility of starting a dive course. To experience this kind of sport you are to undertake the supervision of an experienced licensed instructor (PADI DIVE COURSES). We relax the rest of the day on the beach or the pool of the hotel.

   
     
   

DAY 15. We extend another day in the Mabuhay Resort. We lie on the beach or by the pool, swim, snorkel or take a dive under water or relax. The area around Puerto Galera has an exotic under water world with coral reefs, many tropical fishes and shipwrecks out of the Spanish colonial period and Second World War. For divers it is a real under water paradise.  This is what holiday is all about. It’s like discovering paradise. Enjoy to shop in the small streets. After dinner we visit the Sabang Beach and experience the dazzling nightlife.

   
   
   

DAY 16. By boat we go back to Batangas and from there we make our way to the airport in Manila and we hope that you enjoy this tour.
